Prospecting For Wholesale Buyers & Sellers

Prospecting or finding prospective wholesale buyers may seem like a challenging task, but it's not as hard as you might think. People you already know such as your friends, relatives, business associates, your competitors, they might be interested in buying. They might not be interested right now, but maybe in the future. If you think broadly, everyone around you can be prospects. The key is networking.

Networking is the process of meeting new people and building relationships for future, mutually beneficial exchanges. Through networking, you can increasingly expand your sources of information and support. The people you meet may not necessarily be interested in buying or selling, but they might know somebody who is. You might be surprised by how many referrals you get from people you meet.

There are so many ways to generate prospects, so many strategies you can do that works for you. But you can always do the most common, yet very effective way. Join your local Real Estate Investment Club. It's a great way to meet other investors. You can share information and you can find out who you can and cannot do business with

Another effective method is advertising. Run an ad in your local paper. Make sure you put in an ad that you would respond to like that which has "bargain price", "must sell fast", or "way below market" in its phrase, or something to that effect. If it sounds like a good deal, it's sure to get noticed.

Investors want to be provided with detailed information about the property you are presenting to them. So be sure you are thorough and accurate in your search, and furnish a good information report.

Make sure you always carry plenty of business cards. You can bump into prospects as soon as you step out of the house.
